Friends and Family,
The team to Adilang has arrived safely in Uganda and they are now preparing to take the launch to the North to begin the True Religion project with the church. If you are not familiar with the True Religion project, please scroll to the bottom of the page and read our post titled "Adilang: True Religion Project."
Summed up, the True Religion project seeks to empower the local church in Adilang to be the primary instrument used to provide care for widows and orphans and the ministering of the Gospel. While we hope to instill this vision into the believers in Adilang, we believe that we can teach this message of "True Gospel and True Religion" to be a reproducible message that native missionaries could take into the unreached lands of East Africa.
With that being said, this year we are embarking to support the local church in their care for the orphans of the region by planting drought-resistant beans, building gardens and food-storage shelters, and now also installing water filters.
The water filters were a last-minute addition to the vision of our group that we believe the Lord has divinely orchestrated. Already, these filters have opened doors for one of our team members to travel not only to Adilang, Uganda - but also to South Sudan, Eastern Uganda and into Rwanda. You can read more about the water filters project by clicking here.
While we write this as an update, we are also writing this to ask for prayer and support in this project. We have been able to use all of the money we had raised thus far to begin the True Religion project and buy enough water filters for Adilang, but we are in dire need of more filters to help continue to carry this project forward. These filters only cost $100 each for the supplies and shipping we need and they filter up to 1 million gallons of water! These filters are literally life savers in a place with no clean water.
If you are stirred to help us financially to provide clean water and the Gospel of Jesus, please click here to donate and put "water filters" in the message line. I will continue to update my blog in the following weeks to give updates of the team's trip to Adilang and South Sudan. Please pray for our team's safety and pray especially that the Gospel of LIVING WATER would be released and many dry and thirsty souls would come to know Jesus as Lord.
Blessings,
Josh and Alyssa Hulme
